€0 for eligible public services

Malta’s official PHC page describes its services, including the National Screening Centre, as free of charge. Programme criteria, healthcare entitlement and any referral requirements still apply. This does not mean any private test you choose is reimbursed.

The official GU service lists free STI diagnosis and treatment. Ask the team which testing and access arrangements apply to you.

Build an illustrative private budget

Select only tests you and your clinician are considering. This adds the published examples above; it is not a recommended screening package or a clinic quote. Totals may combine different providers.

What can increase the final bill?
  • Separate clinician, facility, blood collection or laboratory fees.
  • Additional imaging or specialist review after the initial test.
  • Repeat samples, biopsy, pathology or other follow-up.
  • Home visits, urgent appointments or different test panels.

Ask for a written all-in quote and whether results interpretation is included. If using insurance, check preventive-screening cover, referrals, approval requirements and your excess directly with your insurer.

How these estimates were made: named Maltese providers’ publicly listed consumer prices, not insurer reimbursement schedules. Unverified prices are marked “ask for a quote”. No fees have been obtained by contacting providers. Costs and availability may change.
